After breakfast, we continue to Kharkhorin, a charming village and one of Mongolia’s key tourist destinations. Once the ancient capital of the Mongol Empire, Kharkhorin played a pivotal role in the history of the Silk Road. Our first stop is the Karakorum Museum, where you'll gain valuable insights into Mongolia’s rich history. Following that, we’ll explore Buddhist Monastery complex of Erdenezuu. After lunch, we will head to the archaeological site of Karabalgasun (Ordu Baliq) which showcases the remains of city walls, palaces, temples, and other buildings, offering significant insights into the Uyghur civilization.

At 8 AM, we begin our drive to the Khorgo extinct volcano, located 2,240 meters (1.39 miles) above sea level. Once active over 8,000 years ago, this impressive volcano offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape. From there, we continue our journey to the breathtaking Terkhiin Tsagaan Lake, surrounded by lush forests, mountains, and abundant wildlife, creating a perfect natural setting.

After breakfast time, we will drive to Ulaagch Khar Lake. This lake, hidden between high mountains lake, has unique distinction. It’s west shore met rolling sands dunes of Bor Khyar Sands that created sand meets waters. We will do some hiking on the sands and try fishing.

Khyargas, one of the most beautiful Lakes in Mongolia with rocky, as well as sandy shores. Arrive at Khyargas Lake in the evening and check in at a ger camp. You will walk over Khetsuu Khad rock formation and take beautiful evening pictures.

Today, you'll continue your journey westward to Khovd town in Khovd province. This area is known for its diverse ethnic communities. The stunning, rugged mountains along the route make for great photo opportunities. Once you arrive in Khovd, you'll take a brief tour of the town and enjoy lunch. Our itinerary includes a visit to the local museum and notable landmarks such as the ruins of Manjuran Ambassador, the 230-year-old aspen trees, and the scenic banks of the Buyant River. We will spend the night at a local hotel.

We will drive to Khoid Tsenkher Cave, renowned for its Paleolithic rock paintings—numerous symbols and depictions of animals created with red and yellow ochre. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site, we will explore the cave and its historical significance. Then we will head to Ulaan Tolgoi of Doloon Nuur.

In the morning, take a flight to Ulgii (~3 hours), the capital of Bayan-Ulgii, Mongolia’s westernmost province.  After lunch in Ulgii town, we will take a drive to a local eagle hunter's family and golden eagle. Enjoy the afternoon with a hospitable host’s home learning about Kazakh traditions in depth, particularly about training Golden Eagles. You will stay and rest in separate beautifully decorated Ger (yurt) next to the Kazakh family. There are enough scenes that you can take photos of nature, eagles, livestock, and children., In the evening, join the family for a traditional Kazakh dinner while enjoying the sounds of the Dombra, a traditional Kazakh musical instrument. Dinner and overnight at Ger camp.

In the morning, we will drive to Sayat small hill for the festival.

Program on 1st day of the festival

• The Opening ceremony with a parade of participants on horseback with their eagles. 
• Calling eagle on arm. Eagle will be released from the top of the mountain, and land on the trainer’s arm when he calls the eagle people down.
• The festival includes a Uriankhai archery competition. 
• Also, there a small Camel race takes place. 
• In the evening, enjoy a Kazakh traditional concert at a local theater in Ulgii town.

Today, 2nd day of the festival continues. This day eagle hunters compete with some traditional and interesting games. 

• Eagle hunters drag animal skins pretending it is a real fox or any live animal and an eagle must catch this skin. 
• The Kyz Kuar game show is a traditional horseback riding game for couples who race and if the girl can catch the boy, boys are whipped by girls. 
• There are other entertaining games such as Push Cashy (fighting for death goat body)
• Closing and award ceremony for best eagles with their best trainers.

Return to the Ger camp for dinner and overnight.

Today, we will return to Ulaanbaatar.  If time allows, we will also visit the Nairamdal hill. Upon arrival in Ulaanbaatar, transfer to your hotel. Then it’s free time for you to rest or wander on your own around the city before your depart ure tomorrow. Farewell dinner is at your hotel.
