This 9-day Gobi Desert overland tour covers one of the most popular travel routes in Mongolia, allowing you to experience it in the best possible time. Next, we will explore Central Mongolia (Orkhon Valley), where you can gain a deeper understanding of the nomadic way of life and Mongolian history.
Upon arriving in Ulaanbaatar, first claim your luggage and clear customs. Then, meet your private driver at the arrival exit, where he will be holding a sign with your name. The driver will pick you up and transfer you to your hotel, which is included in the package. The rest of the day is free for you to enjoy at your leisure.

In the morning, we will drive towards Tsagaan Suvarga, traveling across the expansive steppe of the Middle Gobi province. Upon reaching the Ger camp, you will check in and have lunch. Tsagaan Suvarga is a striking, multi-colored limestone formation, once part of an ancient seabed, and shaped over millions of years by unique sedimentary processes. Here you can do hiking and taking photography of the beautiful panoramic views.

After breakfast, we will begin our journey to Yol Valley, also known as Yolyn Am or Eagle Valley, located in the breathtaking Gobi Desert. Once there, embark on a pleasant hike through the valley, making your way to the end of the gorge, where the icy landscape offers a striking contrast to the surrounding desert.
While exploring, keep an eye out for wildlife such as eagles, wild sheep, ibex, and various birds of prey. The valley is also home to small rodents and other desert animals .After a fulfilling day in Yol Valley, we will take short drive to the tourist Ger camp nearby and have dinner.

Today, our adventure to the remarkable Khongor Sand Dunes will begin at 8:00 AM. We will arrive at the tourist camp around lunchtime, where you can relax and unwind in the cozy Ger camp, waiting for the temperature to cool down in the hot Gobi Desert. In the late afternoon, we will visit a local camel herder family in their Ger to learn about their unique lifestyle and culture. Afterward, enjoy a camel ride in one of the best spots for this traditional experience. Our next stop will be the beautiful green oasis of Seruun Bulag, located near the Khongor River and sand dunes. After exploring this scenic area, return to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

On this day, our trip will continue to Bayanzag, which means ‘rich in saxaul shrubs’, was once an ancient sea bed. This amazing place is more commonly known as ‘Flaming Cliffs’ and place where a lot of Paleontological findings have been discovered. American paleontologists led by Roy Chapman Andrew’s findings here proved to the world that dinosaurs laid eggs. We will explore around the area, including the saxual trees and wander on the red hillocks. There is a good chance to gaze at the billions of stars in the evening.

Today, we will head to the Gobi Desert and come around lunch time at Tourist camp. This bare steppe area along the Ongi River makes a good resting place to break a trip between Gobi Desert and Central Mongolian steppe. Ongi temple was once one of the biggest monasteries. But it is today small museum. Refresh at the ger camp and take a walk among the ruins and visit the reconstructed temple museum. If you want, you can have pleasant massage and sauna at the camp. Rest of the day is yours to relax on your own.

After breakfast, our excursion continues to Kharkhorin village, where you'll gain deeper insights into Mongolia’s fascinating history. Begin your exploration of Kharkhorin with a visit to the Karakorum Museum, which offers a comprehensive look at the history of the Mongol Empire. The museum's collection of ancient artifacts will transport you back in time to the era when Kharkhorin was a bustling metropolis. Then, we’ll continue our tour to the stunning Erdenezuu Monastery, a majestic complex founded in the 16th century. You'll have the opportunity to explore the monastery's peaceful courtyards and observe the monks' daily rituals. Learn about the role of Buddhism in Mongolia’s history and culture. The remainder of the day is yours to relax and explore at your own pace.

This morning, drive to the Hustai National Park, where world’s last wild horse (never domesticated), Takhi inhabit. Upon arrival at Khustai National Park, we begin with a visit to the small Information Center. Here, you'll learn about the park’s conservation efforts, especially focused on the Takhi (Przewalski's horse), the last truly wild horse species. After lunch, we head out for a short drive followed by a walk through the park, where you can see the Takhi horses in their natural habitat. This is a rare and incredible opportunity to observe these magnificent wild horses roaming freely in the wild. As we explore the park, keep an eye out for other wildlife, such as foxes, roe deer, eagles, and a variety of bird species that also inhabit this protected area.
