This 16-day tour is definitely a complete exploration of  Mongolia’s most popular travel destinations combined with the local Naadam Festival.
      The local Naadam Festival provides a unique and immersive experience, allowing you to attend in person and engage with Mongolian culture in an intimate setting. Unlike the more crowded Ulaanbaatar Naadam Festival, this local event offers the chance to observe traditional competitions up close and mingle with the locals, giving you an authentic glimpse into the vibrant heritage of Mongolia.
      Numerous aged historical sites, colorful earth cliffs, sand dunes, crystal clear lakes, stunning natural landscapes, and unique folk customs are all waiting for your exploration, and thus, get an understanding of the nomadic way of life in depth.

Arrive in Ulaanbaatar, the capital city of Mongolia. After clear customs and claim your luggage, you will be greeted by your driver at the exit and then transferred to your hotel. After check-in, free at leisure for the rest of the day to refresh yourself from jet lag.

In the morning, we will drive towards Tsagaan Suvarga, traveling across the expansive steppe of the Middle Gobi province. Upon reaching the Ger camp, you will check in and have lunch. Tsagaan Suvarga is a striking, multi-colored limestone formation, once part of an ancient seabed, and shaped over millions of years by unique sedimentary processes. Here you can do hiking and taking photography of the beautiful panoramic views.

After breakfast, we will begin our journey to Yol Valley, also known as Yolyn Am or Eagle Valley, located in the breathtaking Gobi Desert. Once there, embark on a pleasant hike through the valley, making your way to the end of the gorge, where the icy landscape offers a striking contrast to the surrounding desert. While exploring, keep an eye out for wildlife such as eagles, wild sheep, ibex, and various birds of prey. The valley is also home to small rodents and other desert animals .After a fulfilling day in Yol Valley, we will take short drive to the tourist Ger camp nearby and have dinner.

Today, our adventure to the remarkable Khongor Sand Dunes will begin at 8:00 AM. We will arrive at the tourist camp around lunchtime, where you can relax and unwind in the cozy Ger camp, waiting for the temperature to cool down in the hot Gobi Desert. In the late afternoon, we will visit a local camel herder family in their Ger to learn about their unique lifestyle and culture. Afterward, enjoy a camel ride in one of the best spots for this traditional experience. Our next stop will be the beautiful green oasis of Seruun Bulag, located near the Khongor River and sand dunes. After exploring this scenic area, return to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

On this day, our trip will continue to Bayanzag, which means ‘rich in saxaul shrubs’, which was once an ancient sea bed. This amazing place is more commonly known as ‘Flaming Cliffs’ and a place where a lot of Paleontological findings have been discovered. On the way, hike and see Khavtsgait Petroglyphs which depicts the everyday lives of the people who lived in the Gobi thousands of years ago. Then have lunch in the village of Bulgan and soon after you will arrive at Bayanzag Flaming Cliffs. Then you will explore the significant areas, including the saxaul trees, and wander on the red hillocks. There is a good chance to gaze at the billions of stars in the evening.

Today, we'll journey to the Middle Gobi, arriving around lunchtime at a tourist camp nestled along the Ongi River. This serene, bare steppe area serves as an ideal resting spot between the Gobi Desert and Central Mongolian steppe. Here, you'll find the ruins of Ongi Temple, once one of Mongolia's largest monasteries, now a small museum. After refreshing at the ger camp, take a leisurely walk among the ruins and visit the reconstructed temple museum. If you wish, you can indulge in a relaxing massage or enjoy the sauna at the camp. The remainder of the day is yours to relax and enjoy at your leisure.

After breakfast, our excursion continues to Kharkhorin, where you'll gain deeper insights into Mongolia’s fascinating history. Begin your exploration of Kharkhorin with a visit to the Karakorum Museum, which offers a comprehensive look at the history of the Mongol Empire. The museum's collection of ancient artifacts will transport you back in time to the era when Kharkhorin was a bustling metropolis. Then, we’ll continue our tour to the old Erdenezuu Monastery, a majestic complex founded in the 16th century. You'll have the opportunity to explore the monastery's peaceful courtyards and observe the monks' daily rituals. Learn about the role of Buddhism in Mongolia’s history and culture. The remainder of the day is yours to relax and explore at your own pace.

After breakfast, we’ll embark on a scenic drive to Khorgo Terkh National Park a stunning area known for its volcanic landscapes and crystal-clear lake. En route, we'll stop for lunch in Tsetserleg, the charming capital of Arkhangai Province, nestled in the picturesque forested valley of the Khangai Mountains. We’ll continue our journey towards the Chuluut River Canyon, where you can admire the dramatic cliffs and the winding river below. This is a perfect spot for photography and relaxation. Upon arrival at Terkh White Lake, we’ll settle in at a comfortable tourist camp by the lakeshore. Enjoy the tranquility of the area, take in the stunning views, and relax as the sun sets. Tomorrow, we will explore and relax at the National Park, followed by a hike to the Khorgo Volcano, an extinct volcano that rises 2,240 meters (1.39 miles) above sea level.

Enjoy breakfast and disembark to Murun town, a small town of Khovsgol province with a population of 35000. 
      Upon arrival at the town, you will check in a local hotel and have lunch at a local restaurant. Your guide and driver lead you for a city tour of Murun town and visit a local market and town museum. Chance to observe the local's part of everyday life at the market.

  Following relaxing breakfast, the journey continues to Lake Khuvsgul, one of the world's purest freshwater lakes. Stretching 136 km long and 38 km wide, this pristine lake is nestled 1600 meters above sea level, surrounded by the Siberian taiga forest.  Today, we'll embark on a horseback ride to see reindeers.  Additionally, you'll have plenty of opportunities to hike, climb the nearby mountains, or simply immerse yourself in the wild beauty of nature, capturing stunning photos along the way.

Today, you'll take a short drive to attend the Naadam Festival near the small village of Khatgal on the western shore of Khuvsgul Lake. Experience the festival's main events, including horse racing, wrestling, and archery, while witnessing Mongolians dressed in their finest traditional attire and riding their best horses. If you're feeling adventurous, you can participate in some of the games like wrestling and archery. Enjoy the vibrant commerce of Naadam and savor the festival's signature dish, Huushuur. Then we will explore Khatgal village on the shore of the lake and visit the village market and main port of the lake.

In the morning, we will drive to Uran extinct volcano. This place is great for hiking and wildlife observation.  Uran's highest point provides unobstructed, panoramic views of the volcanic fields, this area is a pretty good place to break the journey to Khuvsgul.

This morning, drive to the Hustai National Park, where world’s last wild horse (never domesticated), Takhi inhabit.  Upon arrival at Hustai, visit small Ger information center- shows some detailed information about last truly wild horses. After enjoy lunch at the tourist camp, take a short drive and walking to see the horses in their natural habitat.  There is a great opportunity to take photos for these endangered horses.

After breakfast, drive to Ulaanbaatar. Upon arrival, city tour starts with visiting the Zaisan Memorial Hill, a popular tourist attraction and one of the highlights of Ulan Baatar because of its fantastic views over the city. After lunch at a good local restaurant, visit to the Museum of Mongolian National History – It provides an excellent overview of the history and culture of Mongols from prehistory to the contemporary era.  Then we will visit Central Square. The evening is dedicated to visiting the “Folklore show”. It’s a great chance to hear Khöömii (throat singing) and amazing contortion.
