Arrive in Ulaanbaatar, the capital city of Mongolia. After clear customs and claim your luggage, you will be greeted by your driver at the exit and then transferred to your hotel. After check-in, free at leisure for the rest of the day to refresh yourself from jet lag.

This morning, you will enjoy breakfast at the hotel and your private guide and driver will pick you up at 9 am and City tour starts with visiting the largest glorious Gandan monastery Mongolia’s largest functioning Buddhist monastery. While visiting the adjoining Megjid Janraisig Temples, you will see the 26-meter-high majestic gilded statue of Migjid Janraisig. This day you will also visit Museum of Mongolian National History – It provides an excellent overview of history and culture of Mongols from prehistory to contemporary era. Continue to visit Sukhbaatar square which lies at the heart of the city. The Mongolian Parliament Building stands in the north of the square, displaying an astonishing sight of Genghis Khaan and his warriors’ sculptures. At Sukhbaatar Square, attend Deeltei Mongol Festival and take beautiful photos there. 

      In the afternoon, we will explore the city and visit Zaisan Memorial Hill is located in the south side of Ulaanbaatar City, right beside Bogd Khan Mountain having the best view of the city and surrounding hills. The evening is dedicated to visiting the Folklore show. It’s a great chance to hear Khöömii (throat singing) and see some fabulous costumes.

Today, the opening ceremony of the Naadam Festival takes place at the central stadium. It’s Mongolia’s most important festival and biggest national holiday, which allows travelers to observe and experience authentic Mongolian culture.

Festival includes 3 manly games: horse racing, Mongolian-style wrestling, and archery. 

  • At 8am picked up from the hotel lobby, join in Naadam group and visit central Naadam stadium.
  • First your guide leads you to the stadium of ankle-bone shooting competition.
  • Then, you can enjoy archery competition outside of stadium, before opening ceremony starts.
  • At 11am The Opening Ceremony starts once “Nine White Banners” are carried by honored guard from Government Palace to be settled in the middle of Stadium
  • Once finish the opening ceremony, we will watch the beginning of 1st part of Mongolian national wrestling. In the usual 512 wrestler tournament, there will be nine elimination rounds of wrestling over two days.
  • Then take short drive to see the horse racing at Hui Doloon Hudag

In the morning, we will drive towards to Tsagaan Suvarga (White Stupa). We will drive through rolling hills and steppe of the Middle Gobi province. Upon arrival at the Ger camp check-in and have a lunch. Tsagaan Suvarga is a steep colorful limestone slope that once was an ancient sea bed, featured a sedimentary structure that created over millions of years. 

      Here you will stay intereting Gobi caravan Serai camp and you can do hiking and taking photography of the beautiful panoramic views.

After relaxing breakfast, we will proceed to Yol valley (also called Yolyn Am & Eagle valley) in the hot Gobi Desert, which shows unusual scenery. En route, we will have lunch at a local restaurant in Bayandalai village. There you will do pleasant hiking to reach the end of the gorge with thick ice layers throughout the year. Surrounding mountains are home to eagles, elusive wild sheep and ibexes, and many birds of prey, as well as numerous small rodents.

Today, our excursion will start at 8 am to the extraordinary Khongor sand dune the largest and most breathtaking sand dunes in Mongolia reaching as high as 100-300 meters (328,08 – 984,25 feet) above the ground. This is undoubtedly among the most spectacular in the country. The sand dunes make you feel extraordinary comfort and infinite peace.

      Reach the tourist camp around lunchtime and relax until Gobi's hot temperature decreases. In the evening, visit the local camel herder family in their Ger, and experience their nomadic lifestyle and ride a camel to explore the area. Afterward, we will take a short drive to a beautiful green oasis of Seruun Bulag near the Khongor River and sand dunes.  Dinner and overnight at the tourist camp.

On this day, our trip will continue to Bayanzag, which means ‘rich in saxaul shrubs’, which was once an ancient sea bed. This amazing place is more commonly known as ‘Flaming Cliffs’ and place where a lot of Paleontological findings have been discovered. American paleontologists led by Roy Chapman Andrew’s findings here proved to the world that dinosaurs laid eggs. We will explore the area, including the saxual trees and wander on the red hillocks. After exploring the Bayanzag, we will head to Ongi temple ruin which was once one of the biggest monasteries. But it is today a small museum. Refresh at the ger camp and take a walk among the ruins and visit the reconstructed temple museum.

After breakfast, our excursion continues to Kharkhorin, a small village, and one of the country's major tourist destinations. Historically once was the ancient capital of the Mongol Empire and the most important city in the history of the Silk Road.
      Upon arrival, we will visit the museum of Karakorum and learn more about Mongolian history. Continue the guided tour to the magnificent and oldest Buddhist Monastery complex of Erdenezuu. The rest of the day is free time for you to be on your own.

After a relaxed breakfast, depart for eye-catching Terkhiin Tsagaan Lake which is surrounded by spectacular scenery of plants, forests, mountains, and fauna. Check-in and lunch at Tourist camp near to the lake shore. 
      Afternoon is free for your own with optional activities. It is possible to do a full or half day hiking for wild flower and bird watching. Also, there is a great opportunity for everyone to do horse riding, mountain climbing, fishing and swimming etc.

Early morning at 8am, take a short drive to the Khorgo extinct volcano which is situated 2240 meters above the sea level (1,39 mile) and was active 8000 years ago. After exploring the volcano and climbing to the crater, we will drive towards to famous Tsenkher hot spring that reaches +86.5"C and its flow rate is 10 liters per second. Additionally, it is believed that the hot spring is good for treating rheumatism, neuralgia, muscular pain and helps improve digestive system, restoring immunity.

After relaxing breakfast, we will head to Lake Ugii. This freshwater lake is 5km wide, 7km long, and surrounded by a steppe natural zone. The lake has lots of water birds and fish including perches and pikes for fishing. On the way, we will visit to Nomad Family to experience the nomadic lifestyle and enjoy tasting dairy products. Dinner and overnight at a tourist camp near the shore of the lake.

This morning, drive to the Hustai National Park, where the world’s last wild horse (never domesticated), Takhi inhabits.  Upon arrival at Hustai, visit small Ger information center- which shows some detailed information about the last truly wild horses. After enjoying lunch at the tourist camp, take a short drive and walk to see the horses in their natural habitat.  There is a great opportunity to take photos of these endangered horses. You may be lucky to see fox, deer, roe deer, eagle, and more animals and birds…

In the morning at 9 am, head to “Genghis Khan Statue Complex” which is currently the biggest (40m high) equestrian statue in the world. You can go inside and enjoy museums, and souvenir shops. Take a short drive to visit Terelj National Park. This is one of the nearest and the most breathtaking sights from the capital Ulaanbaatar and the landscape is impressive with the magnificent rocky mountainous scene and a lucid river and green groves. In the afternoon, we will explore the national park and see Turtle Rock – the symbol of the National Park. You can take a photo of the rock and climb on the rock if you want. Also, visit the Ariyabal meditation temple - Once you reach the temple and stand on the top of the hill, you will be amused by the whole park view. Return to Ulaanbaatar and you will be transferred to a location of your choice.

You will be free at leisure in your hotel or wander around on your own until being escorted to the city airport for your departure flight home. End of service.
