If you are in Mongolia and would like to take a short horse riding trip, this tour definitely will suit you. The tour will cover one of the most visited national parks in Mongolia and experiencing local culture along with natural beauties. Apart from enjoying Terelj national park's splendid sceneries and seeing the last truly Wild Horse Takhi, you will visit a nomadic family and learn a lot from their unique culture and lifestyle.
Itinerary
Expand allThis morning you will meet with your guide and driver at your hotel at 9 am and depart to the Hustai National Park, where the world’s last wild horse (never domesticated), Takhi inhabit.
Upon arrival, you will visit the Nomad family near the Tuul River and explore their unique nomadic lifestyle. Then, you will start your riding adventure to the southern valley of Ungut Mountain in the national park and to see Ungut, a man stone complex, dating back to the 6-8th centuries AD.
Also, you will see the wild horses in their natural habitat. There is a great opportunity to take photos of these endangered horses.

At 8.00 am, after breakfast, drive to Terelj National Park. the nearest and the most breathtaking sightseeing from the capital Ulaanbaatar. Once arriving, start exploring the national park and see Turtle Rock - the symbol of the National Park. You can climb on the rock if you want, Also, visit the Ariyabal meditation temple. Once you reach the temple and stand on the top of the hill, you will be amused by the whole park view. After lunch, head to the horse riding point. Terelj National Park is the best destination for a horse riding trip. The horse-riding will continue for 3 hours and you will be transferred to a tourist Ger camp for dinner and overnight. The Ger camp is located in the most spectacular spot in the national park.

After relaxing lunch, we will return to Ulaanbaatar. On the way visit “Genghis Khan Statue Complex” which is currently the biggest (40m high) equestrian statue in the world. You can go inside and enjoy museums, souvenir shops. Upon arrival in Ulaanbaatar, visit Zaisan Memorial Hill which is a popular tourist attraction and one of the highlights of Ulan Baatar because of the fantastic views it offers over the city. You will be transferred to the hotel at around 5 pm.
