Tsenkher hot spring
Tsenher hot spring is located about around 30 kilometers south of Tsetserleg town, in Arkhangai province. It is the second hottest spring in Mongolia, after Shargaljuut Hot Spring.
The spring water is mildly alkaline and has a temperature of 86 degrees underground, producing about 10 liters of water per second. The hot water rises from deep within the earth under high pressure, without mixing with surface water.
Thanks to its hydrogen sulfide and silicon content, the water is believed to have healing properties. In small doses, it can help relive fatigue, chronic skin conditions, open wounds, and diabetes. It is also used to treat inflammation of the skin, nerves, muscles, joints, and soft tissue, as well as anemia and to support recovery after illness.
The spring water is pumped into outdoor pools at nearby Ger camps, where visitors can relax and soak while enjoying the stunning natural surroundings. There are many tourist camps and guesthouses in the area, making it a perfect destination to unwind in nature.
