Menen Steppe
Menen steppe is the largest plain in Mongolia, located west of Buir Lake in the territory of Dornod aimag. It is more than 90 kilometers long and 60 kilometers wide, 600 meters above sea level.
It is one of the largest steppes in the world, with pasture plants, wolves and rare animals.
The mongolian steppes including Erdenetsagan, Matad and Khalkh protected in 1992, in order to preserve the ecosystem.
Menen steppes are divided into two parts:
1. Kherlen on the North
2. Tamsag on the South
