Domestic Flights in Mongolia

Most of the towns are connected with the paved road with Ulaanbaatar. It has flights to the western Mongolian provinces and only one destination to Choibalsan- Dornod Province from Eastern Mongolia. Because of paved road to Khovsgol and South Gobi Province, flights are scheduled only in summer time by two local aviation operators. It is the easiest way to reach your targeted destination for only one to three our-hour trip.

2 Airlines that fly domestically within Mongolia 

Aero Mongolia: Operates three Fokker aircraft. It flew domestic services to Ulgii, Dalanzadgad, Murun, Ulaangom, Gov-Altai and Khovd. Baggage allowance is only 15kg. Aero Mongolia also serves Hohhot in China, and Irkutsk in Russia.

Hunnu Air.  Hunnu Air operates Embraer E190 and ATR 72 aircraft. Domestic destinations include Zavkhan, Altai, Dalanzadgad, Khovd, Murun, Choibalsan, Bayankhongor and Altai. In summer they often add a flight to Ulan Ude in Russia. Baggage allowance is 15kg.
